This is NOT an image of GOD but a representation of the mission of this work [identifier] and that is to remind all people of the words of GOD THE FATHER who is Spirit and JESUS who is glorified; and to remind all people that JESUS compared HIS work on the earth to that of being a Shepherd. It is written," And God spake all these words, saying, " I AM The Lord thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. Thou shalt have no other gods before Me. Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth. Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them; for I The Lord thy God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate Me. And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love Me, and keep My Commandments. Thou shalt not take the Name of The Lord thy God in vain; for The Lord will not hold him guiltless that taketh HIS Name in vain. Remember the Sabbath Day to keep it holy. Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work. but the seventh day is The Sabbath of The Lord; in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates. For in six days The Lord made heaven and earth, the sea and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day, wherefore The Lord blessed The Sabbath Day and hallowed it. Honour thy father and thy mother, that thy days may be long upon the land which The Lord thy God giveth thee. Thou shalt not kill. Thou shalt not commit adultery. Thou shalt not steal. Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbor. Thou shalt not covet [seek to own] thy neighbor's house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbor's wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his donkey, nor anything that is thy neighbor's...ye shall not make with Me gods of silver, neither shall ye make unto you gods of gold." Exodus 20:1-17 & 23
Humans cannot make an image of God because no human living has seen God. It is written, "God is a Spirit and they that worship HIM must worship HIM in spirit and in truth." [John 4:24] There is no physical description of Jesus, who is the Godhead in the flesh, anywhere, so any image that you may have seen was an only an artist's idea. Artists should not depict God or God in the flesh, named Jesus. We humans cannot reduce God to our level! It is an insult and a sin. The image you see above this is a painting of a shepherd from my imagination. It is an image of my painting and is NOT intended to represent JESUS or GOD THE SPIRIT in any way. It is a painting I [gloria poole] painted in 1995 when my life was in sort of a limbo and I was beginning to paint more often and wanted to paint scenes from The Holy Bible. The Scriptures about JESUS being The Good Shepherd in John 10: 10,11- 14 inspired this painting. I am hesitant to put it here even with this explanation because I do not want to ever make any image that could be confused as supposedly an image of GOD. GOD forbids making images of HIM in the Commandments. This painting was painted by me and is my original painting and this image that you see of it was photographed by me, but is computer distorted to fit the space here. The painting itself is rectangular the long way and may be seen on other websites of mine. I decided to add it here, because there is an ongoing battle sort of, for my name, websites and on the web works including my paintings; and yet my paintings are always signed on the front with my name of Gloria in script and on the back in my name, Gloria Poole. When I didn't tell the public about these paintings and at the same time I published these websites, some people either thought that it was a different Gloria Poole that painted them or that they were a different kind of painting. My paintings are always decent and may be viewed by anyone. The links page has some of the websites with more of my paintings, if you are interested. This is posted here for the sake of transparency of my mission. I do not ever make images of GOD and I advise you not to do that either. Shepherds are described in The Bible and JESUS used that analogy to help explain HIS mission on the earth, as being THE GOOD SHEPHERD that tends HIS sheep, [people] . Scriptures below. The only intent of this painting on this website is to remind you of those words of JESUS.

I do not worship idols and I never will! I advise you to never worship idols either because the Bible in Exodus chapter 20, says that worshipping idols is being a hater of God and that God punishes those who worship idols.
JESUS said, " I AM The Good Shepherd; The Good Shepherd giveth HIS life for the sheep.But he that is an hireling and not the Shepherd, whose own the sheep are not,seeth the wolf coming and leaveth the sheep and fleeth; and the wolf catcheth them, and scattereth the sheep.
